Our Workshops

IISC’s workshops provide participants with the opportunity to learn and practice the skills and tools of collaboration so that they can do everything from designing meetings to building and running organizations and networks with greater social impact.

Our approach to training is to integrate skills-development with conceptual knowledge and experiential learning so that participants leave our workshops with:

  • a conceptual understanding of the particular skills offered in that session
  • the ability to put the tools and techniques to work when back on the job
  • an experience of “shared responsibility for success” and how it is to work in a truly collaborative environment

In addition, these and other workshops can be offered at your convenience within your organization or to the members of your network or community, and there is always the option of tailoring the content to address the specific needs of your group.

Offering IISC workshops to the participants in any one group reinforces individual learning and creates a learning community that enables people to support one another in trying out new skills and applying new tools. Groups benefit from:

Grassroots Leadership Development Fund
One way we demonstrate our commitment to social justice is by building the leadership and collaborative capacity of grassroots leaders to engage, speak out, and participate fully in determining the policies and decisions that affect their lives and their communities. Our Grassroots Leadership Development Fund offers a limited number of fee waivers for each of our workshops for qualified grassroots individuals/organizations. Learn more about workshop fee waivers.
